Job Summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced Agile Coach / Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead and facilitate agile transformation across teams and organizations. This role involves coaching Scrum teams, fostering continuous improvement, and supporting organizational change initiatives. You will empower teams to adopt agile and lean practices effectively, enhance collaboration, and deliver value-driven solutions that support strategic business objectives. Your leadership will promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and innovation.


Software Requirements

Required:

  • Proficiency with agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence (latest versions preferred)

  • Fundamental understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and other agile frameworks and practices

  • Experience supporting teams in using Lean and lightweight frameworks

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills to support agile ceremonies and stakeholder engagement


Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Scaling Agile Frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Spotify model

  • Experience with digital collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, MURAL) for workshops and planning sessions

  • Familiarity with software engineering lifecycle and DevOps practices supporting agile delivery


Overall Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor agile teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leadership to improve agility and adoption of best practices

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance team performance and collaboration

  • Support organizational change initiatives to embed agility into established workflows and culture

  • Monitor and measure team progress against KPIs, SLOs, and improvement goals

  • Assist teams in resolving impediments and fostering a mindset of continuous improvement

  • Enable effective backlog grooming, prioritization, and release planning activities

  • Drive compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices for agile methodologies

  • Develop and deliver training, workshops, and coaching sessions to foster agile maturity

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on delivery priorities and organizational goals


Technical Skills (By Category)

Methodologies & Frameworks (Essential):

  • Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles for team delivery and process improvement

  • Experience implementing scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) (preferred)


Tools & Collaboration Platforms:

  • Jira, Confluence for workflow and documentation management

  • Miro, MURAL, or similar for workshops and visual planning


Project & Portfolio Management:

  • Knowledge of Agile planning tools and techniques for managing multiple teams and projects

  • Metrics and KPI tracking to evaluate team performance and continuous improvement


Change & Organizational Management:

  • Roadmap development, stakeholder communication, and change management support strategies


Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or in a similar role supporting agile transformations in enterprise environments

  • Proven experience coaching multiple teams on agile best practices in large-scale or complex organizations

  • Exposure to advanced agile frameworks and scaling methodologies (preferred)

  • Experience working in technology-driven or digital transformation projects is advantageous

  • Industry experience in finance, banking, or regulated sectors is a plus


Day-to-Day Activities

  • Conduct agile maturity assessments and develop tailored coaching plans for teams and leaders

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, workshops, and training sessions

  • Support teams in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iterative delivery cycles

  • Identify and remove organizational impediments impacting delivery velocity and quality

  • Measure and report on team health, productivity, and continuous improvement metrics

  • Support change management and organizational culture initiatives to promote agility

  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic alignment and scaling agile practices

  • Develop communication plans and training materials for ongoing agile education


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years supporting agile teams, enterprise-wide agility initiatives, or digital transformations

  • Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or ICAgile certifications are preferred

  • Proven track record in leading agile transformations in large or complex organizational structures
