Mendix Developer Job Requirements: Certification and Experience • Certification: Minimum Mendix Intermediate Developer certification. • Experience: overall software development experience is 5+ yrs. & Mendix App Development experience is 3+ yrs. Mendix Platform Skills • Platform Understanding: Strong understanding of the Mendix platform and deployment processes. • Application Delivery: Experience in delivering at least two to three Mendix-based applications. • Client Requirements: Ability to understand client requirements and suggest the best solutions within the Mendix framework. Communication and Leadership • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills. • Business understanding: Working with business analysts and other teams to understand business requirements • Scrum Management: Strong understanding of scrum activities and sprint execution process. • Collaboration: Working closely with business stakeholders and other developers in a distributed team. • Task Management & Reporting - Self managed and timely update reports to management Technical Expertise • Programming Languages: Extensive experience with Mendix and other programming languages like Java or .NET. • Web Technologies: Knowledge of modern UI technologies such as HTML, CSS, XPath and JavaScript. • UI Development: Ability to suggest and implement complex UI requirements. • Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues • Testing - Develop and document test cases, execute and document test results • Integration and API Development • Integration: Experience in working on integrations. • API and Services: Experience with building APIs and Services using REST, SOAP, etc. Data and Domain Knowledge • Data Containers and Widgets: Strong expertise in using all data containers and platform widgets. • Chart Creation: Knowledge of chart creation in Mendix. • Domain Model: Knowledge of relational databases and able to design domain models. • Microflows: In-depth knowledge of microflows, nanoflows. • Security: In-depth understanding of roles and access rules. In-depth knowledge of XPath and data retrieval. Best Practices • Best Practices: Awareness of implementing applications with best practices as defined by Mendix. • Quality assurance: Ensuring the quality of code and applications
