Experience

 

The Network Operations Manager is accountable for managing the high availability networks infrastructure and associated operational services in line with the agreed Service Level Targets. Working the other IT teams, such as Server Infrastructure, Application Management, Security, the Service Desk, Strategy & Architecture, and the project delivery teams to ensure close alignment and engagement in implementing major developments and enhancements within the existing IT infrastructure. This includes Data Centre, Distribution Centre, Head office, Depots, Stores and Cloud Networks.

• Accountable for the management of the Network Operations Team and 2nd & 3rd line support for all Network related issues.
• Set up and own relevant IT policy and standards in line with appropriate best practice.
• Keep up-to date with the latest relevant technology, relevant standards, policies, and directives.
• Liaise with internal governance and the relevant external authorities to ensure that we are moving towards an approved compliant infrastructure.
• Produce and maintain operations manuals/run books for the associated services for this team in line with corporate standards.
• Identifies and acts upon opportunities for continuous improvement to reduce operational risks, optimise efficie ncy and improve standards.
• Working with Strategy and Architecture to ensure that that the infrastructure and associated management tools are both supportable and maintainable.
• That product road maps, and any associated remediation plans are in place to address operational risks.

 

Technical Skills

 

• Good knowledge in Network Security, Palo Alto Firewall, Fortinet Firewalls, Algosec, F5 Load Balancer and Juniper switches.
• Good Knowledge in handling SD WAN troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge in handling Palo Alto from CLI and Panorama.
• Good knowledge in handling Zscaler ZIA & ZPA architecture.
• Good Knowledge in WAF module on F5-Big IP platform Application Security Manager (ASM)
• Good Knowledge in ICA Proxy , Reverse Proxy on F5-Big IP platform.
• Should have good understanding of Routing and Switching concepts
• Good knowledge on Palo Alto Threat Prevention services.
• Good Knowledge on Palo Alto DLP ( Data Prevention loss ) technologies
• Should have good troubleshooting and Implementation skills in IPsec and Any connect VPN, ACL, NAT, PAT and Security policies
• Good understanding of Palo Alto URL based ACL’s and Filters
• Hands on in TCP dump capture, packet analysis and analyzing with Wireshark filters

·         Should have good technical competence on Palo Alto Global Protect feature

• Expert Python scripting knowledge
• Security infrastructure experience pertaining to Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Proxies, Enterprise Log Management, Load-Balancers, WAFs, DNS/IP management and VPN.
