Job Title: Office Admin Location: Chennai

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Administrator to manage the day-to-day administrative and operational requirements of the school branch. The role involves overseeing branch maintenance, vendor coordination, transport operations, basic banking activities, and support staff management to ensure smooth functioning of the facility.


Key Responsibilities

Branch Operations & Maintenance

  • Ensure overall upkeep and maintenance of the branch premises
  • Coordinate with service providers for repairs and maintenance activities
  • Monitor cleanliness, safety, and basic infrastructure needs

Finance, Bills & Petty Cash

  • Handle regular bill payments including utilities and service invoices
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash records
  • Coordinate cheque deposits, cash deposits, and basic banking activities

Transport & Vehicle Management

  • Manage the branch transport system including vehicle scheduling and routing
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate with drivers for daily transport operations

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Purchase stationery, groceries, and other branch requirements
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate basic service terms
  • Track inventory and ensure timely replenishment

People & Support Staff Management

  • Supervise support staff such as housekeeping, drivers, and security personnel
  • Coordinate duty rosters and address day-to-day operational issues
  • Ensure discipline and adherence to branch guidelines

Coordination & Communication

  • Travel between branches as required for administrative coordination
  • Maintain average-level professional communication with internal teams and vendors
  • Support the Centre Head / Branch Head with administrative reporting


Skills & Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of office administration and facility management
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and service providers
  • Working knowledge of petty cash handling and basic banking procedures
  • People-handling and coordination skills
  • Willingness to commute between branches
  • Average communication skills (verbal and written)


Qualifications

  • Graduate or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in office administration or similar role
  • Prior experience in schools, hospitals, or multi-location offices is an advantage
