Job Description:

Taraana Academy of Kathak is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to manage day-to-day operations and support the smooth functioning of the academy. The role involves handling student registrations, maintaining class schedules, coordinating with faculty, managing communication with parents and students, and overseeing basic financial and record-keeping tasks. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in office software, and a genuine interest in supporting a performing arts environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage admissions, attendance, and student records
  • Coordinate class schedules and communicate updates to students and parents
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
  • Assist in event planning, performances, and workshops
  • Maintain office supplies and basic bookkeeping records
  • Support the Director and teaching staff with administrative tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace
  • Interest in classical dance or the arts is a plus
