Job Description – Operations Executive (Cab Service Industry)

Position: Operations Executive – Cab/Transport Services

Department: Operations / Fleet Management

Location: [Nandanam, Chennai]

Reports to: Operations Manager / Vice President

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Executive to manage the day-to-day operations of our cab/transportation services. The role involves coordinating drivers, vehicles, routes, and clients to ensure smooth service delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily cab operations including driver allocation, route planning, and trip monitoring.

Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off services for corporate clients, employees, or individual customers.

Monitor vehicle availability, utilization, and maintenance schedules.

Handle customer queries, complaints, and resolve service issues promptly.

Maintain records of trips, fuel consumption, and driver attendance.

Coordinate with drivers for compliance with safety, punctuality, and service standards.

Assist in onboarding new drivers and maintaining driver performance records.

Support in client reporting, MIS preparation, and billing reconciliation.

Collaborate with the sales team for smooth execution of new contracts and client requirements.

Ensure compliance with company policies, traffic regulations, and client SLAs.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

Strong coordination and multitasking abilities.

Good communication skills (English, Hindi, and local language preferred).

Problem-solving skills for handling last-minute route or vehicle issues.

Knowledge of local routes, GPS/transport apps, and traffic regulations.

Basic knowledge of fleet management software/CRM tools.

Team player with service-oriented mindset.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operations at once.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

1–3 years of experience in cab services, transport, logistics, or operations.

Freshers with strong organizational skills may also be considered.

Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, driver management, and local geography is a plus.
