Operation Lead - Data Center, Cloud

We are looking for an experienced Operations Lead for Data Center and cloud Infrastructure to lead the management, operations, and optimization of our on-premises data center and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in achieving operational excellence, driving innovation across both physical and virtual infrastructures, and managing vendor relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management and optimization of KONE platforms (Data Center, AWS, Microsoft Azure), ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives
  • Manage the daily operations of the organization's data center, ensuring optimal uptime, performance, and scalability. This includes overseeing physical servers, storage systems, and networking infrastructure
  • Forecast infrastructure needs, plan for growth, and ensure adequate capacity in both data centers and cloud environments to support business requirements
  • Ensure that both data center and cloud environments comply with security standards, including firewalls, network security and data protection
  • Utilize automation tools to optimize operations, deploy resources, and manage configurations across both on-premises and cloud environments
  • Manage relationships with service providers for both data center and cloud services. Oversee budgeting and cost optimization efforts for cloud services to ensure optimal performance at minimal cost
  • Lead efforts in the identification, diagnosis, and resolution of data center and cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and business impact
  • Minimizes disruption of service operation introduced by any new releases and/or changes
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize downtime and ensure rapid incident resolution
  • Ensure the delivery of IT services in line with established SLAs. Track and report on service performance, managing escalations where necessary
  • Ensure CMDB content (services, applications, infra relationships) is up to date
  • Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and processes

Primary Skills:

  • Proficient in Data Center infrastructure, AWS and Azure cloud, with exposure towards Elastic services, S3, RDS, VPC, Load Balancers, and Landing Zones
  • Knowledge on automation tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Proven experience in governance of IT Service Providers
  • Solid understanding of server hardware, storage solutions, virtualization, and cloud architecture
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security practices, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and compliance
  • Good understanding of server hardware, storage solutions, virtualization, and cloud architecture
  • Strong knowledge of Data Center and cloud security practices, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and compliance
  • Familiarity with ITSM tool (preferably ServiceNow)
  • Experience with infrastructure and end-to-end monitoring
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL processes and familiarity with DevOps & Agile principles
  • Experience with Service Integration and Management (SIAM) practices
  • Exposure to ISO audits
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Proven experience in working within a global and/or matrix organization

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in managing IT budgets (Forecasting, budgeting and optimizing costs)
  • Project management
  • Certification in ITIL (good to have)

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree (B.Tech/BE) in computers
  • 8 – 10 years of relevant experience in IT Service management
