Job Overview: A renowned bakery and patisserie in Chennai is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the baking and pastry industry, demonstrating expertise in crafting high-quality desserts, cakes, and pastries. South Indian candidates are preferred for this role due to the local palate and knowledge of traditional flavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new pastry recipes and seasonal items.
  • Oversee day-to-day pastry operations, ensuring consistent quality and timely production.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain product availability.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
  • Create pastries that align with the brand's vision and customer expectations.
  • Monitor food cost and maintain a profitable pastry section.
  • Develop signature pastry items that will elevate the bakery’s offerings.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a bakery or patisserie.
