Pharmacist

JOB SUMMARY:

• Review and interpret prescriptions from licensed healthcare providers.
• Compound and dispense medications with accuracy in dosage, packaging, and labelling. .
• Educate patients on proper medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Monitor the effectiveness of drug therapies and recommend adjustments when needed.
• Advise healthcare professionals on drug selection, dosage, and administration
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient interactions, and controlled substances
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure adherence to pharmacy protocols.
• Uphold safety, cleanliness, and legal compliance in the pharmacy environment.
• Remove expired or damaged drugs and manage inventory effectively.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.

EDUCATION / LICIENSURE:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

PROFFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 1-3 years required

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE (DESIRABLE):

• Knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and medication safety.
• Understanding of pharmacy operations and dispensing procedures.
• Familiarity with medicine storage, inventory control, and expiry management.
• Awareness of pharmaceutical regulations and healthcare standards.
• Knowledge of pharmacy software and electronic prescription systems.
