Job Description
- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture, capillary punctures, and other techniques.
- Verify patient information and accurately label specimens.
- Prepare, store, and transport samples according to laboratory protocols.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Calm and prepare patients—especially those who are anxious or children.
- Maintain and sterilize phlebotomy equipment.
- Record patient information and update medical records.
- Assist with blood drives and donation events when required.
- Monitor supply levels and request inventory replacements.
