Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Placement Manager to support student career outcomes after completion of training programs. This role plays a critical part in bridging the gap between trained learners and employment opportunities by building strong relationships with students, employers, and internal teams.
The Placement Manager will be responsible for achieving placement targets across 2–3 assigned centers, ensuring consistent student engagement, employer outreach, and strong placement outcomes. The role requires regular travel within the city and a hands-on approach to student counselling and employer coordination.
The ideal candidate is passionate about career development, possesses excellent networking and communication skills, and has a strong understanding of current job market trends across IT and BFSI sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Relations & Placement Support (Placement Counselling)Build strong rapport with learners and act as the primary point of contact for placement-related guidance.
- Counsel students on industry trends, available TAFs, and the end-to-end placement process.
- Guide learners in developing a positive mindset toward job opportunities.
- Ensure students apply for relevant TAFs and comply with placement processes.
- Motivate and support students to maximize selection and successful joining outcomes.
- Design and implement strategies to improve placement conversion rates.
2. Employer Relationship Management (Local TAFs)Develop and maintain strong relationships with local recruiters and employer partners.
- Meet employers to understand hiring needs and position the organization as a reliable talent provider.
- Regularly update employers on training programs and student skill sets.
- Generate and manage city-level TAFs on a monthly basis.
- Ensure timely servicing of employer requirements with qualified candidates.
3. Job Application & Interview Support
- Coordinate with the CPT team by sharing student data and TAF requirements.
- Promote CPT-led TAFs among students to maximize participation.
- Ensure maximum applications for open opportunities.
- Guide learners through interview preparation, scheduling, and follow-ups.
- Track interview progress and identify challenges impacting placement success.
4. Networking & Industry Outreach
- Attend job fairs, industry events, and networking forums to expand employer connections.
- Collaborate with placement agencies and industry professionals to create new job opportunities.
- Stay updated on hiring trends and evolving industry demands to strengthen placement strategies.
5. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate placement records, including interviews, offers, joining status, and success stories.
- Prepare regular placement reports to measure performance and identify improvement areas.
- Collect and analyze feedback from students and employers to enhance training and placement effectiveness.
Work Mode
- Work From Office (WFO) role.
- Requires frequent interaction with learners, employers, and center teams.
- Regular travel within the city for meetings and center visits.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, HR, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in placements, career counselling, student mobilization, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of IT and BFSI hiring processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, instructors, center teams, and employers.
- Familiarity with job portals, social media platforms, and professional networking tools.
- Knowledge of resume writing, interview preparation, and career development practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with databases or placement tracking systems.
