Job Description
Key Responsibilities – Planning Engineer
- Prepare and update project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project
- Develop baseline programs, detailed execution plans, and look-ahead schedules
- Monitor project progress against approved timelines
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
- Coordinate with site engineers, QS, procurement, and execution teams
- Identify delays, risks, and bottlenecks; suggest corrective actions
- Track manpower, materials, and equipment deployment
- Assist in resource planning and productivity analysis
- Support cost control and quantity tracking activities
- Prepare variance analysis between planned vs actual progress
- Maintain planning documentation and progress records
- Support delay analysis, claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions
- Ensure accurate reporting to project management and stakeholders
