PPL

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Technical

  • Finalize SoR/drawings with supplier and cost feasibility inputs (PEL coordination).

  • Ensure timely, comprehensive feedback from SBC (material cost) and suppliers.

  • Complete technical sign-off with PEL & COE, onboarding only TCP-capable suppliers.

Techno-Commercial

  • Deliver TCP targets via SBC & quote synthesis (supplier feedback, capex, pricing, process).

  • Validate supplier capacity for projected volumes at scale.

  • Decide cost trade-offs to minimize TCP deviations at vehicle level.

  • Align assumptions across SBC, SoR & quotes to keep costs comparable.

  • Maintain supplier panel with TCP-capable vendors.

Commercial

  • Coordinate with SSU & PSL for timely supplier panel closure.

  • Onboard only vendors cleared through technical sign-off.

Part Development

  • Maintain BOM and manage capex for part development.

  • Deliver parts within material cost targets and budgeted investments.

  • Ensure quality as per Project MRD 2.

  • Complete vendor PPAP and handover to SQE & SCM on time.

Other Business Decisions

  • Provide inputs for project budget finalization (PPH).

  • Support system-level target drill-down with techno-commercial feasibility (PEL).

  • Give timely inputs for Make vs Buy decisions aligned with TCP targets (PPH, PMH, PFH, CPH).
