Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greeting walk-in clients, understanding their design needs for kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring, and offering professional advice on, materials, and color schemes.
  • Sales & Consulting: Guiding customers through the selection process, preparing quotations, calculating accurate quantities, and finalizing sales.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tile types (ceramic, porcelain, vitrified), features, benefits, and maintenance requirements.
  • Showroom Maintenance: Ensuring the showroom floor is clean, tidy, and displays are updated regularly.
  • Lead Generation & Follow-up: Proactively contacting clients, architects, or contractors to generate leads and follow up on quotes.
  • Billing & Coordination: Processing invoices, managing stock levels, and coordinating with suppliers or warehouse for deliveries. 


  • Inventory Management & Control:
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts (cycle counts) and reconcile with the ERP/computer system to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels, track shade and run numbers (critical for tiles to avoid color mismatches), and manage inventory replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Receiving & Warehousing:
  • Receive, classify, inspect, and store incoming tile shipments.
  • Organize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization, ensuring proper stacking to prevent breakage.
  • Order Fulfillment & Dispatch:
  • Pick, pack, label, and stage customer orders according to packing slips or sales orders.
  • Coordinate with sales teams and logistics providers to schedule timely, accurate deliveries to client sites.
  • Manage loading processes and ensure safe handling of goods.
  • Logistics & Transportation:
  • Arrange for transportation and negotiate rates with carriers.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues, such as delivery delays or damaged goods.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret design layouts or measurements.
  • Strong negotiating skills to close sales.
  • Basic computer skills for billing and inventory management.
  • Prior experience in retail, particularly in tiles, sanitary ware, or home decor, is often preferred.
