Job Description
- Role Title - Production Executive– Food Manufacturing
- Minimum Experience - Minimum 2-5 years in Food / FMCG Manufacturing (with team handling)
- Department - Production / Operations
- Reporting To - Director
- Role Objective - To plan, execute, and control production operations meeting quality, cost, delivery, safety, and efficiency targets while ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Production Planning - Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and dispatch commitments.
- Execution & Output - Ensure production targets are met with optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
- Process Control - Monitor and control critical process parameters to maintain consistent product quality.
- Yield & Wastage Control - Improve production yield and reduce wastage, rework, and losses.
- Manpower Management - Allocate manpower efficiently; manage shifts, attendance, productivity, and discipline.
- Equipment & Machinery - Ensure machines are operated safely and maintained in coordination with maintenance team.
- Downtime Reduction - Analyse breakdowns and implement actions to minimize production downtime.
- Food Safety Compliance - Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI, and internal food safety standards.
- Hygiene & Safety - Enforce hygiene, safety, and housekeeping practices on the shop floor.
- Coordination with QA - Work closely with QA/QC to ensure products meet quality and microbiological standards.
- Inventory Coordination - Coordinate with stores for raw material availability and avoid production stoppages.
- Cost Control - Monitor production costs and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
- New Product Support - Support R&D and management during trials, scale-ups, and new product launches.
- SOP Implementation - Ensure all production SOPs are followed and updated as required.
- Documentation - Maintain production records, batch sheets, yield reports, and shift logs.
- Audit Support - Support FSSAI, customer, and internal audits related to production operations.
- Training & Development - Train supervisors and operators on process, safety, hygiene, and productivity.
- Continuous Improvement - Drive continuous improvement initiatives (productivity, efficiency, quality).
- Issue Escalation - Identify risks and escalate production, quality, or safety issues proactively.
- Authority Level - Authority to plan production, allocate manpower, stop production in case of safety or quality risk.
- Qualification - Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Food Technology / Mechanical / Production / Related field
- Key Skills - Production planning, team leadership, process control, food safety, problem solving, execution excellence
