Job Description
- A Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Supervisor manages daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production, quality control, safety, and timely delivery by overseeing staff, coordinating materials, troubleshooting issues, managing inventory, and maintaining client satisfaction, requiring strong leadership, technical knowledge of concrete, and problem-solving skills, often with a Civil Engineering background.
- Production Management: Supervise batching, mixing, and dispatch; plan schedules; ensure adherence to mix designs and client orders.
- Quality Control: Oversee QC team, ensure correct proportions, check cube tests, prevent contamination, and maintain standards.
- Staff Supervision: Lead operators, drivers, and laborers; provide training; manage shift schedules.
- Materials & Inventory: Coordinate with suppliers, manage raw material levels (cement, aggregates, admixtures), and ensure proper storage.
- Equipment Oversight: Monitor batching plant, transit mixers, loaders, and coordinate maintenance.
- Client & Site Coordination: Handle orders, resolve complaints, communicate with clients, and sometimes visit sites.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce H&S policies, report hazards, and ensure compliance.
