About this job

As a QA Automation Engineer role in the field of Quality Assurance QA Automation Engineer at NIQ Activate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and quality of our software solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to identify issues and ensure the highest quality of our products. Your work will help us deliver bug-free software to our clients and maintain the reliability of our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Execute and analyze automated test results, reporting defects and working with developers to resolve issues.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Report and document software defects
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testing best practices
  • Continuously research and implement automation testing best practices
  • Ensure the stability and reliability of our testing infrastructure.
  • Continuously improve and optimize the automation framework and testing processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in QA automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of QA Automation experience
  • Proven experience in test automation using Cypress/Playwright
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure testing environments and tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with other automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Experience with Single Page Applications (SPA) and React.
