Retail Store Manager

The Alternate is a premium vegan footwear brand focused on design, comfort, and conscious luxury. We are looking for a dynamic Retail Store Manager who can lead the store, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and manage daily retail operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations & Sales

• Manage day-to-day store operations and ensure smooth functioning
• Drive in-store sales and achieve monthly targets
• Maintain high visual merchandising and brand presentation standards
• Ensure proper stock management, billing, and inventory accuracy.

Customer Experience & Communication

• Deliver a premium and personalised shopping experience
• Handle customer queries, feedback, and escalations professionally
• Build strong relationships with repeat and high-value customers

Team Management

• Lead, motivate, and supervise store staff
• Ensure staff discipline, grooming, and performance standards
• Prepare duty rosters and monitor attendance

Reporting & Microsoft Office

• Maintain inventory, expense, and performance data using Microsoft Excel
• Use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for internal reports and presentations
• Coordinate with the head office through structured reports and emails

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (English mandatory; regional language preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, basic PowerPoint)
• 1-2 years of experience in retail management (fashion / footwear preferred)
• Customer-first mindset with strong interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of POS systems and retail metrics
• Well-groomed, presentable, and brand-conscious
