Duties and Responsibilities

The Agency Sales Manager in life insurance is a leadership and strategic role primarily responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring, and driving the performance of a team of insurance agents (the agency force) to achieve the company's sales and revenue targets. This role is a combination of sales leadership, people management, and business development.

1. Team Leadership and DevelopmentThe manager's most critical responsibility is building and maintaining a high-performing sales team.

• Recruitment: Actively identify, interview, and onboard new insurance agents or financial advisors to ensure the agency has sufficient manpower to meet goals.
• Training and Mentoring: Conduct regular training sessions on life insurance products, sales techniques, industry regulations, and soft skills. Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to develop agent capabilities.
• Performance Management: Set clear, measurable sales objectives and targets (KPIs) for individual agents and the entire agency. Monitor performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement action plans for underperformers.
• Motivation and Culture: Lead and motivate the team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability. Administer recognition and rewards for achievements.
