Job Description – Sales Manager (Professional Courses Category)


Business Unit: Bajaj Finserv – EMI Finance

Category: Professional Courses (Aakash, Allen, Medversity, NxtWave, ExcelR, etc.)

Location: Chennai


Role Overview


The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business in the Professional Courses category by onboarding partners, managing relationships, and achieving disbursement targets. The role also includes hiring, training, and deploying Sales Officers (SOs) strategically across high-potential markets to maximize productivity and partner coverage.



Key Responsibilities


1. Sales Officer (SO) Hiring & Deployment


Identify manpower requirements across geographies and partner centres based on business potential.


Recruit quality Sales Officers through job portals, walk-ins, campus hiring, and referrals.


Conduct structured interviews to assess field readiness, communication skills, and sales aptitude.


Deploy SOs at the right partner centres (Aakash, Allen, Medversity, NxtWave, ExcelR, etc.) based on footfall, historical volume, and revenue opportunity.


Maintain SO productivity by monitoring daily activities, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.



2. Training & Capability Building


Provide onboarding training on EMI finance products, documentation, KYC norms, and partner processes.


Conduct ongoing refresher training for counsellors and SOs on pitch, objection handling, and system usage.


Ensure SOs maintain high-quality sourcing and adhere to all BFL compliance standards.



3. Market Mapping & Opportunity Identification


Conduct market studies to identify new education institutes, coaching centres, and upskilling players.


Analyse course pricing, student demand, admission seasonality, and competitor presence.


Map potential territories and allocate SOs to maximize coverage and monthly activations.


Recommend expansion into new institutes based on footfall, brand strength, and conversion opportunity.



4. Partner Acquisition & Relationship Management


Onboard new dealers/institutes and ensure seamless BAU operations.


Maintain strong relationships with counsellors, centre heads, and institute management.


Drive partner engagement through regular visits, training, and performance reviews.



5. Sales Achievement & Funnel Management


Achieve monthly disbursement and login targets through SO supervision and partner management.


Review daily MIS, productivity reports, and lead funnels.


Implement local campaigns to improve student walk-in conversions.



6. Compliance, Audit & Customer Experience


Ensure 100% adherence to KYC and documentation standards.


Monitor partner hygiene, sourcing quality, and fraudulent attempts.


Support students with transparent EMI options and process guidance.

Eligibility


Experience: 0 –3 years in Sales/Team Handling (Education, Consumer Finance, NBFC, Fintech preferred)


Qualification: Graduate; MBA preferred
