Job Title: Distribution Network Sales ExecutiveLocation:As per company requirement (Field-based role)

Department:Sales & Distribution

Reporting To:Regional Sales Manager / Business Head

Role OverviewThe Distribution Network Sales Executive will be responsible for expanding, managing, and strengthening the company’s dealer and distributor network. The role involves driving primary and secondary sales, building channel relationships, and ensuring product availability and visibility across assigned territories.

  • Key Responsibilities1. Distributor & Dealer Network DevelopmentIdentify and appoint new distributors, dealers, and channel partners
  • Expand market reach by developing new territories and coverage areas
  • Conduct regular market mapping and competitor analysis
  • 2. Sales & Revenue GenerationAchieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Drive primary billing and ensure secondary sales movement
  • Ensure stock availability and healthy inventory levels across the network
  • 3. Channel Relationship ManagementMaintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and retailers
  • Resolve channel conflicts and address partner concerns promptly
  • Ensure timely payments and outstanding collections from distributors
  • 4. Market ExecutionExecute trade schemes, promotions, and sales campaigns
  • Ensure proper branding, visibility, and merchandising at retail outlets
  • Conduct regular market visits and performance reviews with partners
  • 5. Reporting & MISMaintain daily sales reports and market feedback
  • Track competitor activity, pricing, and schemes
  • Provide weekly and monthly performance updates to management
  • Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Good understanding of distribution and channel sales models
  • Ability to work independently in a field sales environment
  • Target-driven with strong execution skills
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting tools
  • Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in distribution/channel sales
  • Experience in FMCG, building materials, electrical, or similar industries preferred
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Monthly sales target achievement
  • Number of new distributors/dealers onboarded
  • Market coverage and expansion
  • Collection efficiency and outstanding control
  • Retail visibility and brand presence
