Senior Accountant

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Chennai

Experience: 5-8 Years

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a maximum of 8 years of experience in a similar role. The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company and will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial records, including general ledger accounts, financial statements, and tax returns.

- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

- Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.

- Assist with payroll processing and employee benefits administration.

- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and budget management.

- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
