We are looking for an experienced Senior Edge Developer to join the Digital Team under Life Cycle Offerings. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on capability across the full industrial edge and connected systems technology stack—edge computing, industrial connectivity, cloud computing, API integrations, data processing, and multi-language software development. This role involves architecting, developing, and maintaining edge-centric connected solutions that support our digital products and lifecycle offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Connected Solution Development

• Develop, enhance, and maintain end-to-end edge and connected solutions including edge devices, gateways, hubs, and cloud platforms.

• Design and implement Azure-based cloud workflows, including IoT Hub, DPS, Functions, APIM, Event Hub, and storage services.

• Build secure, scalable, and high performance RESTful APIs.

Edge & Device Layer

• Develop and maintain edge applications, perform edge data ingestion, filtering, and protocol handling (MQTT, Modbus, OPC-UA, etc.).

• Integrate edge devices with industrial systems such as PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS).

• Integrate heterogeneous devices and sensors into the connected ecosystem.

Core Software Development

• Write maintainable, clean, well-tested code in Python, .NET C#, and Java.

• Collaborate on design and architecture decisions across the edge-to-cloud stack.

UI / Full-Stack

• Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Node.js, React.

• Ability to contribute to UI/API integrations when required.

• Basic understanding of data engineering concepts related to edge and streaming data.

DevOps & Quality

• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and secure coding practices.

• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity guidelines for edge and connected solutions.

Collaboration

• Work closely with product owners, architects, cloud teams, cybersecurity teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Support deployment, troubleshooting, and management of digital offerings.

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or related field.

• 6+ years of experience in edge computing, connected systems, cloud, or full-stack development roles.

• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud connected and edge services along with experience developing and consuming REST APIs.

• Expert level proficiency in Python, C#, and Java.

• Robust understanding of edge architectures and industrial protocol handling.

Preferred Qualification

• Experience with Angular, Node.js, or React for frontend contributions.

• Good understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker), and version control (Git).

• Familiarity with analytics pipelines and event-driven patterns.

• Exposure to cloud cost optimization, monitoring, and observability tools.

• Certifications in Azure (e.g., AZ 204, AZ 220) are a plus.

• Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate effectively.
