Senior Engineer

People Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for skill development and career advancement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software development efforts with overall project goals and timelines.

  • Lead the team in delivering high-quality, on-time solutions that meet customer expectations.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, and support the professional growth of team members.

  • Manage Employee cases within his/her capacity.

Team Deliveries:

  • Lead  team capacity & plans.

  • Lead Team to achieve Technical Operation Targets:Discipline guidelines, Process Adherence & KPIs

  • Ensure continuous manoeuvring/Achieving deliveries and commitments

Organisation Activities:

  • Optimise organisation Assets utilisation

  • Contribute to talent acquisition and retention efforts, participating in the recruitment process.

Professional Experience

 

Technical experience 

- A solid foundation in software development with experience in coding, debugging, and understanding the software development life cycle.

- A solid foundation in software verification and Validation, with experience in dealing with electronics components and SW/HW integration if needed.

- Knowledge of quality assurance practices, including testing, code reviews, and quality control processes.

- Proficiency in programming languages, development tools, and technologies commonly used in your team or organisation.

- Exposure to project management concepts and practices, including project planning, task coordination, and milestone tracking.

- Familiarity with ASPICE base practices and agile methodologies.

- Exposure to customer or stakeholder interactions, possibly through project meetings or updates.

- Ability to identify and address project issues, risks, and roadblocks.

- Familiarity with collaboration and ticket management tools.

- Basic ability to create and maintain project documentation, including plans, status reports, and documentation for customer or stakeholder communication.

 

Interpersonal Skills

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to project tasks and collaborating with team members.

- Effective communication, both written and verbal, to facilitate discussions with team members, stakeholders, and customers.

- Early signs of leadership potential, such as taking initiative, problem-solving, and guiding team members.

- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines, prioritise tasks, and ensure efficient delivery.

- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with software development trends, project management practices, and tools.
