Senior Engineer - Design

Carry out Naval architectural design and calculations such as hull form development, intact & damaged stability, resistance & propulsion, ship strength, seakeeping, manoeuvring, freeboard, gross tonnage etc., using software and also manually where applicable. Knowledge on appendages of Ship.
Prepare technical specifications in respect of model tests and evaluate vendor offers, leading to selection & finalization of specifications ensuring 100% compliance to the customer, class and statutory requirements.
Knowledge of Classification Society rules (LR, IRS, ABS etc.).
Conduct sea trials of ships such as inclining experiment, speed trials, manoeuvring trials etc..
Candidate shall be from a Ship Design/ Shipbuilding/ related industry with above experience. Experience of working on Defence projects is preferable.
