Senior Engineer-VPS

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Responsibilities:

• Analyse and interpret vehicle test data from ICE and EV platforms.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based analytics methodologies using MATLAB, Python and Databricks.
• Build interactive dashboards and web applications for data visualization and reporting with Power BI, Tableau
• Collaborate with calibration and testing teams to integrate analytics into vehicle development workflows.
• Support predictive modelling and machine learning initiatives for performance and reliability analysis.

• Strong programming skills in Python and MATLAB.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, or similar cloud analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of vehicle testing procedures, calibration tools, and CAN protocols.
• Understanding of ICE and EV architectures and performance metrics.
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform statistical analysis.

General Requirements

Competencies:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in field of engine/Vehicle testing or system simulation. 1-2 years of basic data analytics work experience.
• Strong analytical abilities to process drivability test data, propose ratings, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, MATLAB, Power BI, and Python is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of automotive powertrain systems fundamentals.
• Practical experience/exposure to Engine/Battery testing.
• Proficient in data analysis techniques and usage of analytical tools.

• Skills:

  VCU calibration, Lab car, Emission analysis, Vehicle & engine performance, drivability, EV performance and efficiency mapping, Fleet Durability, vehicle modelling
