The Role
As an Senior Safety Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Lead safety assessments and hazard analyses (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, SIL ) for new and existing systems.
- Develop and maintain safety plans, policies, and procedures in compliance with industry standards.
- Knowledge and extensive experience dealing with major projects within Oil and Gas industry handling risk-based decision making, qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, safety case development, human factors engineering, process safety performance management, safety system design, fire, explosion, and gas dispersion analysis.
- Well experience in management, planning, HSE engineering operations, problem solving, decision making in combining engineering and health and safety knowledge to ensure that chemicals, machinery, software, furniture, and other products do not harm people or damage property.
- Computer literate, proficiency in MS Office and technical software applications.
- Good command of English (speaking, writing, reading & reporting).
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Minimum 15+ years’ experience in Process Safety design offshore / Refinery projects.
- With minimum 15 years' experience in Oil and Gas industry for both onshore and offshore technical safety.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- Developing skills in design software.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Recent experience in using Shell DEPs, ADNOC CoP, PDO SPs, API, NFPA and IEC will be an advantage.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Required
- A recognized Degree in the relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent.
Preferred:
- A recognized Degree in the Chemical Engineering discipline or equivalent.
