Job Title: Senior Transportation Engineer (Rail and Highway Design)
Overview:
We are looking for a talented Design Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in rail and highway alignment design. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in civil engineering and a passion for developing efficient transportation infrastructure. This role offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the advancement of transportation systems in India.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare alignment design plans for rail and highway projects, including horizontal and vertical geometry, grading, and cross-sections.
- Assist in feasibility studies and provide technical inputs for project viability.
- Develop cost-effective and innovative solutions for alignment design considering terrain, safety, and environmental factors.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings and specifications using industry-standard software.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for design reviews and approvals.
- Support senior engineers in technical reviews and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Perform engineering calculations and basic simulations to validate design accuracy.
- Stay updated on relevant codes, standards, and best practices in transportation engineering.
Qualifications:
- Master’s in Transportation Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in rail/highway alignment design.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or Bentley Rail Track.
- Knowledge of Indian transportation standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
