Service Advisor

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Customer Intake and Greeting: Acting as the first point of contact, advisors greet customers, listen to vehicle issues, and document symptoms or service requests accurately.
• Technical Liaison: They translate technical jargon from technicians into plain language for customers and convey customer concerns to the repair team to ensure accurate diagnosis.
• Service Estimates and Scheduling: Advisors calculate repair costs (parts and labor), provide timeline estimates, and manage the workshop's service calendar.
• Sales and Advising: They recommend essential maintenance and upsell value-added services, such as wheel alignments or oil additives, based on vehicle history and manufacturer guidelines.
• Workflow Management: Tracking the progress of vehicles throughout the day and notifying customers of any status changes or delays.
• Billing and Documentation: Finalizing invoices, explaining work performed, processing payments, and maintaining detailed service records in Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
• Warranty and Insurance Coordination: Verifying coverage under manufacturer warranties, insurance policies, or service contracts before work begins.
• Quality Control: Verifying that all requested repairs are completed to company standards before the vehicle is released to the customer
