Site Supervisor

Core responsibilities

• Project oversight: Manage daily construction operations, ensure milestones and schedules are met, and execute work according to approved plans.
• Staff and subcontractor management: Supervise and coordinate the work of site staff, subcontractors, and vendors. Assign tasks, manage work schedules, and maintain discipline.
• Safety and compliance: Enforce safety standards, conduct site inspections, handle accidents, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations and building codes.
• Quality control: Check the quality of work, inspect materials, and ensure that all work is completed according to quality standards.
• Documentation and reporting: Prepare progress reports, document all work done, and maintain records of materials, labor, and inventory.
• Resource management: Manage material orders and deliveries, track inventory, and ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Communication: Lead site meetings, communicate with clients, consultants, and senior management, and act as a liaison between different parties. 

Required skills and qualifications

• Leadership and management: Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills are essential.
• Technical knowledge: Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and processes, and awareness of building codes and safety regulations are crucial.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are needed to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for interacting with various stakeholders.
• Computer proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software and other relevant computer applications is often necessary.
