Shanthi Tailors is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to build our digital community and showcase our exquisite classical dance costumes, temple jewellery, and accessories. You will be the voice of our brand online, responsible for creating compelling content, engaging with our audience of dancers and cultural enthusiasts, and driving brand awareness and e-commerce sales. The ideal candidate lives and breathes social media and has a genuine passion for Indian classical dance and culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Content:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms (especially Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest).
• Create and manage a detailed content calendar that aligns with product launches, sales, and cultural festivals.
• Content Creation:
• Create high-quality, authentic, and engaging content (photos, short-form videos/Reels, stories, basic graphics) that beautifully showcases our products.
• Coordinate photoshoots and video shoots with models, dancers, or in-store.
• Write compelling, on-brand captions in English that educate and inspire our audience.
• Community Management:
• Actively manage and grow our online community by responding to comments and direct messages promptly and professionally.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment, engaging with user-generated content (e.g., customers tagging us in their photos).
• Campaigns & Collaborations:
• Plan and execute paid and organic social media campaigns to promote new collections, drive website traffic, and generate leads.
• Identify and build relationships with dance influencers, teachers, and cultural organizations for collaborations and partnerships.
• Analytics & Reporting:
• Track and analyze key social media metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth, website traffic).
• Provide regular reports on performance and use data to optimize future strategies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Required: Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of past work.
• Required: Demonstrable expertise in creating engaging content (especially video/Reels) for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Required: Excellent creative writing and communication skills in English.
• Crucial: A deep and authentic understanding of and passion for Indian classical dance (Bharatanatyam, etc.), temple jewellery, and cultural traditions.
• Highly Preferred: Proficiency in Tamil for regional audience engagement.
• Experience: Hands-on experience with social media management tools and analytics.
• Personal: Highly creative, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strong aesthetic sense.
