Job Description

Sutherland is looking for SQL developers to build and implement World class product for Travel Vertical industry.  Your primary duties will revolve around building software - writing code and modifying software to fix errors, improve its performance or upgrade interfaces.

In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. Your goal will be to build efficient software and systems that serve user needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and optimize queries to enhance efficiency on periodic basis.
• Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data.
• Security Management: Enforce security policies to protect sensitive data, including user access and permissions.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database issues, providing timely support to application teams on 24/7.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to design and implement database solutions.
• Updates & Upgrades: Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and patches to ensure systems are up to date.
• Import & Export Operations: Manage data import and export processes using tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), BCP, and BULK INSERT to facilitate data migration and integration.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in SQL Server Administrator activity.
• Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA (3+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, Query Analysing, Quey Plan, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Always On, clustering).
• Knowledge of SQL Server security best practices.
• Experience with database migration and upgrade processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
