Title: Sr HRIS Analyst (Payroll, Time, Absence)
Reports To: VP HR Systems and Operations

Location: ESAB Shared Service Center - Monterrey, Mexico
Description
ESAB is seeking a Sr HRIS Analyst to own and manage the Workday modules for Payroll, Time & Absence. This role is responsible for analyzing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures Workday system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
What You Will Do
- The Workday Payroll Analyst will perform configuration and troubleshooting of the Payroll and Time Tracking modules in Workday to support the payroll team
- As a system administrator for Workday payroll, this position will be responsible for maintenance and optimization of the payroll system, with understanding of business requirements and contributing to best practices
- Assist with maintaining and enhancing Workday Payroll configuration, including creation of pay components and calculations as needed
- Partner with the Payroll Team to troubleshoot payroll issues that arise to ensure successful payroll processing
- Serve as a subject matter expert for any issues that present in payroll, time calculations, and time off, including data/reporting
- Perform year-end system activities including W2 configuration, updating tax rates etc
- Execute mass data loads using EIBs
- Support Workday releases by researching new functionality, testing, and implementation
- Understand and follow company policies surrounding data governance, security, and process development
- Managed the all time tracking functionality in Workday and other systems.
- Support the consolidation of global payroll in a single vendor model across ESAB locations • Additional duties as assigned What we are looking for
- At least three years of experience and knowledge of the Workday Application, with a focus on US Payroll, Time & Absence, or equivalent experience in other HRIS solutions
- Implementation experience related to gathering requirements and testing integrations between a third-party payroll system and Workday
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Fluent in written and oral English language – required
- Ability to read and write technical documentation (requirements, configuration, process, etc.)
- Ability to identify, document, and execute testing scripts and criteria • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
- Ability to identify project plan tasks for functional projects, understand dependencies and deliver according to the plan
- Ability to identify risks and help develop mitigation strategies and plans
- Ability to understand complex processes and translate and implement into streamlined solutions
- Ability to develop multiple options for requirements/issues along with pros/cons and resource impacts Education Requirements
- Bachelor's in computer science, management information systems, business administration, or related discipline Preferred
- Understanding of manufacturing industry
- Candidates local to Monterrey, MX will be given priority
