Store Keeper

Job Title: Store Keeper – Main Kitchen/Operations

Location: Chennai

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a proactive Store Keeper who can take full ownership of tracking and managing raw materials across daily operations. This role involves handling all incoming and outgoing stock, keeping records up to date, and ensuring the kitchen always has what it needs without delays or shortages. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing raw materials
• Update stock registers on a daily basis
• Monitor stock levels and inform management about shortages

Goods Receiving

• Verify quantity and quality of materials received from vendors
• Cross-check purchase orders with delivered items
• Report damaged or missing items immediately

Stock Issuing

• Issue raw materials to kitchen/operations as per requirement
• Maintain proper logs for all issued items
• Ensure no unauthorized stock movement

Storage & Organization

• Ensure proper storage of all items (FIFO method – First In, First Out)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area
• Handle perishable and non-perishable items correctly

Coordination

• Coordinate with kitchen staff
• Assist in stock planning and ordering

Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly stock reports
• Track wastage, spoilage, and discrepancies
• Maintain records for audit and management review

Requirements:

• Experience as Store Keeper / Inventory Assistant
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock handling
• Good organizational and record-keeping skills
• Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month (based on experience)

Working Hours: 10–12 hours shift (6 days a week)

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of food ingredients and raw materials
• Understanding of stock control methods (FIFO, wastage control)
• Ability to handle pressure during busy hours
