Designation - Structural Design Engineer Civil

Category – Civil/Architecture Design Engineer.

Experience – 10+ Years

Location -Chennai (Willing to travel Project site @ Tuticorin based on requirement)

Education - BE / BTech in Civil Engineering.

Preferable - Civil Foundations, Floorings, Beams, Walls, Joineries, Road, Drain, Culvert, PEB Structures and roofing works & Other related structures.

Immediate Joiner Preferable

Technical skills

• Sound proficiency in design concepts / hands on engineering experience in industrial buildings / structures and structural steel
• Experience in design of RCC foundations including pile foundation for all type of structures
• Experience in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD or civil 3D / Revit) is essential.
• Knowledge of civil and structural analysis and design principles. (e.g. tools like ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, SAFE, etc is an added advantage).
• Familiar with construction materials, methods and standards are required.
• Familiarity and application of IS codes / standards for domestic projects.
• Additionally American, British, European codes of practices are an added advantage.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and documents as required.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in structural design.

• Ability to manage time effectively and deadlines / targets

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering design process by coordinating with architects, consultants, and other teams involved in the project.
• Review of design concepts based on project specifications while considering factors such as load capacity requirements, material selection, building codes/regulations compliance, sustainability goals, and budget constraints.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings including plans and blueprints using computer-assisted design (CAD) software like AutoCAD or Revit.
• Review designs developed for accuracy, feasibility, adherence to standards/regulations before finalizing them for construction purposes.
• Review and revise the drawings received from design consultant.
• Ensure proper documentation of all design changes made throughout the project lifecycle following established procedures for version control and documentation management systems.
• Participate in inter disciplinary coordination meetings/project reviews to address any issues related to structural integrity/designs affecting overall project schedule/budget.
• Responsible for releasing the Civil Architectural and Structural Good for construction drawing to the erection team.
• Visiting of Project site frequently as per the project requirement
• Measurement and certifying the design consultancy bills
