Surface Grinding Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate surface grinding machines (manual / hydraulic)
• Read and understand engineering drawings
• Set up jobs, grinding wheels, and fixtures
• Achieve required surface finish and dimensional accuracy
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspection
• Use measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Dial Gauge)
• Dress grinding wheels and maintain proper wheel condition
• Maintain machine cleanliness and basic preventive maintenance
• Follow quality and safety standards

Skills Required :

• Strong knowledge of surface grinding operations
• Experience in job setting, wheel dressing & inspection
• Understanding of materials and tolerances
• Ability to work independently

Qualification:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade
