Systems Server Engineer

We are a corporate-focused IT hardware reseller, supplying laptops, desktops, servers, and networking/security solutions to enterprises. Along with sales, we handle end-to-end deployment and support—from planning the right configuration to installation, security setup, and ongoing maintenance.Role Overview (Deployment & Infrastructure Engineer)Your role covers new infrastructure setup, security deployment, and endpoint management for corporate clients, ensuring every installation is secure, stable, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Server installation & commissioning
• Rack/stack, cabling coordination, RAID/storage setup, firmware updates, and baseline configuration
• Windows/Linux server OS installation, roles/features setup, and performance tuning
• Firewall deployment & security configuration
• New firewall installation, policy configuration, NAT, VLANs, and security hardening
• UTM features: IPS/IDS, web filtering, application control (as per client requirement)
• VPN setup & remote access
• Site-to-site VPN, SSL/IPsec VPN configuration, user access policies, and troubleshooting
• Secure remote connectivity for branches and work-from-home users
• Desktop/endpoint OS deployment
• Windows installation, driver/package setup, imaging (if applicable), updates, and standard software deployment
• Domain join, user profile setup, printer/network configuration, and endpoint security basics
• Technology consultation & solution recommendation
• Suggest the right server/desktop specs based on workload (files, ERP, VM, backup, rendering, etc.)
• Right-sizing CPU/RAM/storage, recommending SSD/HDD tiers, redundancy, and upgrade paths
• Networking & onsite coordination
• Basic switch/router configuration support, IP planning, documentation, and handover to client IT team
• Work with vendors/ISPs for link setup and issue resolution when needed
• Support & documentation
• Installation reports, network diagrams/basic documentation, configuration backups, and SOPs
• Post-deployment support, issue diagnosis, and preventive checks (as per SLA/AMC)

Patch management, endpoint policies, and basic cybersecurity best practices

Client communication: requirement gathering, status updates, and clean handover
