Job SummaryThe Accountant – Commercial will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, commercial activities, and statutory compliance of the company. The role involves hands-on work in Tally Prime, handling GST compliance, inventory and commercial accounting, and supporting financial reporting. The position reports directly to the Finance Manager / Management and requires close coordination with internal teams, vendors, and auditors to ensure accurate financial records and smooth commercial operations.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & FinanceMaintain accurate day-to-day accounting entries in Tally Prime
• Record purchases, sales, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries
• Maintain general ledger, customer accounts, and vendor ledgers
• Ensure proper documentation and accounting records are maintained
• GST & Statutory CompliancePrepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
• Perform GST reconciliation between books and GST portal
• Handle GST-related queries and coordinate with consultants/auditors
• Ensure compliance with statutory and commercial regulations
• Commercial OperationsHandle vendor bill booking, verification, and payment processing
• Prepare customer invoices and track collections
• Monitor receivables, payables, and credit control
• Support pricing, discounts, and commercial documentation
• Inventory & Stock AccountingMaintain inventory records for raw materials, finished goods, and consumables
• Coordinate with operations/warehouse for stock reconciliation
• Support inventory valuation and reporting
• Banking & ReportingPrepare bank reconciliation statements
• Monitor cash and bank balances
• Assist in preparation of MIS reports and monthly financial statements
• Provide audit schedules and support during internal and external audits
• Skills & CompetenciesStrong working knowledge of Tally Prime
• Sound understanding of GST and commercial accounting
• Basic knowledge of inventory and cost accounting
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills
