Greetings!!


Role Purpose:


We are hiring a Tandoor Chef with strong hands-on expertise in North Indian tandoor section (breads + kebabs + grills + marinades). The chef must also be capable of supporting South Indian and Chinese sections during peak hours (basic execution/support, not necessarily expert-level in those cuisines).


Key Responsibilities


1) Tandoor Operations (Primary)Prepare and cook tandoori breads (naan/roti/kulcha etc.) and tandoor starters/grills (paneer/chicken/fish kebabs, tikkas, etc.)

  • Handle marination, skewering, grilling timing, and consistency
  • Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely (heat control, charcoal/gas handling as applicable)
  • Maintain mise en place for rush hours: dough balls, marinades, garnishes, butter/cream finishing, etc. 


2) North Indian Section SupportSupport North Indian gravies and accompaniments linked to tandoor items

  • Follow standard recipes and portioning (no “andaaz” cooking)


3) Multi-Cuisine Support (Secondary)Support South Indian / Chinese sections when required (during peak / staff shortage):

  • Basic Chinese: fried rice/noodles, basic sauce handling, starters support
  • Basic South Indian: assisting prep, chutney/sambar support, plating/packing support (based on your menu)


4) Cloud Kitchen ExecutionMaintain speed + accuracy for delivery orders

  • Coordinate with packing team to ensure correct tagging, sealing, and order accuracy
  • Reduce rejections/returns through consistent cooking and correct portioning


5) Hygiene, Safety & DisciplineFollow food safety and hygiene standards; maintain station cleanliness

  • Ensure proper storage, FIFO, and minimal wastage
  • Report equipment issues and stock shortages early 


Requirements:

  • Experience: 3–8 years in tandoor / North Indian section (cloud kitchen / QSR experience preferred)
  • Strong expertise in tandoor breads + kebabs/grills + marinades
  • Ability to work fast in a high-volume environment
  • Willingness to support other cuisines when needed
  • Team discipline + ability to take standardization seriously

Preferred (Good to Have)

  • Prior experience in multi-cuisine kitchens
  • Experience controlling wastage and planning prep schedules
