Team Member - Maintenance

Job Purpose: Team Member - Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical equipment through regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs. They uphold compliance with safety standards, maintain thorough documentation, and foster a positive safety culture within the team.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Regularly inspect and maintain marine machineries ,electrical equipment, address potential issues, and repair faults to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Responsible for periodic / breakdown / predictive maintenance of Tugs
  • Maintain all the tugs in operational condition all the time.

Troubleshooting:

  • Work with the crew to coordinate efficient repairs and apply troubleshooting methods for quick issue resolution.
  • No major Breakdown / Minimum off- hire period.
  • To carry out major and minor overhauling.

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Ensure electrical systems meet regulatory standards through inspections and tests, keeping detailed compliance records.
  • Maintain tug in compliance of various statutory requirements,
  • QHSE policy compliance 
  • Monitoring and controlling of budget

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Keep precise records of electrical maintenance and compliance, and report on non-compliance and remedial actions.
  • All monthly paper works to completed
  •  

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Share compliance information with stakeholders and work with crew and management to maintain equipment and vessel compliance.
  • liaising with external stake holder for materials, services, repair work and other service
  • to prepare reports required 

Health and Safety:

  • Lead safety initiatives, engage employees in safety practices, and recognize contributions to a strong safety culture.
  • Strengthening workplace safety and reduction in accident / incident.
  • Active participation in safety training.

Digital Mindset:

  • Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.
  • SAP material management ,stock management, verify bills and maintaining SAP record,

Key Stakeholders - Internal:

  • Head of Section- Operations & Maintenance
  • Lead – Maintenance

Key Stakeholders - External:

  • External coordination with vendors / workshops / supplier.

Education Qualification:

  • B.E. / B.Tech. (Marine/Mechanical) / Marine Engineering Officer Class 4/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical

Work Experience (Range of years):

  • 2-7 years of experience in Maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintenance of Tug / Vessel Engine
