Technical Advisor – Mechanical (Packaged Eqpt)

• Under broad direction, functions as a technical specialist who makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities of the company.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
• Willing to travel globally and undertake short term assignment with aboard offices and project site as needed to support projects.

SKILLS

Skills are typically acquired through a graduation in Mechanical or allied Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15+ years. Exposure to Offshore and LNG / FLNG projects is desirable

Incumbent will be responsible for specification, selection and services relating to Process units like large Utility packaged units including Boilers, Refrigeration Packages,  HVAC Systems, Chemical Injection Packages, etc  Familiarity with Material handling systems  is desirable. Exposure to engineering of technology packages and FLNG/LNG and Offshore facilities is desirable

Additional duties

• Excellent understanding of design of Package Systems with exposure to FEED stage is desirable
• Good understanding of Process flows / PIDs, Schematics
• Guide engineers in Preparation of datasheets, Specifications for packages 
• Perform technical bid evaluations.
• Vendor drawing review and engineering coordination of technical information with vendors and company engineering specialists.
• Hands-on experience in of Air-Conditioning and Ventilation systems for  industrial facilities is an advantage
• Technical Skills acquired with experience includes some of the following

• BE / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering field
• At least 12 years of progressive experience, specifically in engineering of packaged equipment.
