Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee our daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing labor to ensure efficient unloading of incoming shipments and loading of dispatch vehicles. You will optimize warehouse space, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure the facility operates safely and smoothly. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong people management skills and a focus on process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Labor Management & Supervision

• Schedule and assign daily tasks for warehouse associates, ensuring labor is allocated effectively to meet inbound and outbound demands.
• Recruit, train, coach, and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
• Monitor performance, address productivity gaps, and manage attendance/schedules. 

2. Inbound & Outbound Logistics (Unloading/Loading)

• Oversee unloading of incoming shipments, ensuring inventory is accurately checked against packing lists, inspected for damage, and logged into the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
• Coordinate loading of dispatch vehicles, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of customer orders, proper packaging, and adherence to loading schedules.
• Ensure proper labeling, packing, and documentation for all outgoing goods.

3. Space Management & Warehouse Optimization

• Plan and implement space allotment, organizing the warehouse layout for maximum efficiency and accessibility.
• Strategically manage inventory storage, be able to do physical counting regularly, and plan restocking of items as required.

4. Smooth Functioning & Safety

• Ensure the warehouse functions smoothly by implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Enforce safety protocols and keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Produce daily/weekly reports on warehouse activities, including shipping/receiving status.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage, lead, and motivate a team of hourly employees.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and also can adapt to any Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.

Preferred Competencies

• Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in handling logistical delays.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
