Job Description
- Overall responsibility for godown/warehouse operations
- Receive, check, and record incoming materials
- Ensure proper storage, stacking, and labeling of goods
- Maintain accurate stock registers (inward, outward, closing stock)
- Control inventory and prevent shortages, damages, or pilferage
- Coordinate with purchase, production, and dispatch teams
- Plan and execute timely dispatch of materials/products
- Supervise loading and unloading activities
- Conduct regular physical stock verification
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline in the godown
- Prepare daily and monthly stock and dispatch reports
- Manage and supervise warehouse staff
