Welding Machine Operator – PTA Welding

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust PTA/TIG welding machine according to the required specifications and

production schedules.

• Operate welding equipment, ensuring high-quality welds while maintaining production

targets.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of welding machines to minimize

downtime.

• Inspect completed welds for conformity to specifications and advise on any necessary

adjustments.

• Collaborate with team members and engineers to improve welding processes and enhance

product quality.

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• 8+ years of experience as a Welding Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing

environment.

• Familiarity with various welding techniques (PTA, MIG, TIG,) and equipment.

• Current welding certifications (AWS, ASME) and a solid track record of achieving high-quality

welds.

• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Preferred:

• Certification in welding from an accredited institution.

• Experience with automated welding systems.

• Knowledge of welding safety standards and regulations.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Proficiency in operating welding machines and tools.

• Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment.

• Experience with safety protocols and practices relevant to the welding environment.

• Follow all workplace safety guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper use of PPE.
