Role Overview

The Engineer – Automation / Production will be responsible for managing manufacturing operations, improving productivity through automation, ensuring smooth production flow, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated machinery and systems
• Improve productivity and efficiency through automation solutions
• Troubleshoot automation and machinery-related issues
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
• Integrate automation systems with existing manufacturing processes
• Support continuous improvement and automation upgrades
• Ensure safety and quality standards are followed

Production Responsibilities:

• Monitor plan vs. actual production and perform gap analysis
• Schedule and reschedule machines, equipment, and manpower
• Execute line clearance and resource planning
• Control process parameters and manage production efficiency
• Handle rejection analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions
• Drive CAPA activities and continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare MIS, production reports, and related documentation
• Develop and maintain control documents and setup cards
• Train shop-floor teams and support skill development
• Present production performance and improvement plans to management

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes
• Hands-on experience in automation systems and machinery
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance standards

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial production environments
• Exposure to automation-driven process improvement
• Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets
• Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
