Role Overview

The Senior Academic Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the course selection and admission process, ensuring high conversion rates while maintaining strong ethical counselling standards. This role also involves mentoring junior counsellors and driving team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Student Counselling & ConversionCounsel students and parents on courses such as:

• Allied Health Science
• Nursing
• Engineering
• Architecture
• Pharmacy
• MBBS Abroad / Study Abroad
• Understand student profiles and recommend suitable courses/universities
• Handle inbound & outbound leads (calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins)
• Convert leads into confirmed admissions

Team Leadership

• Guide and support junior counsellors
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback
• Assist in training new team members

Admission Process Handling

• Assist students with:
• Application process
• Documentation
• Course selection
• Fee structure explanation
• Coordinate with colleges/universities for seat availability

Communication & Relationship Management

• Build trust with students and parents
• Maintain long-term relationship for referrals
• Ensure professional follow-ups and communication

Required Skills
