Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, support inventory valuation processes critical to our furnishings business, and contribute to the company's financial health and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, customer invoicing, and reconciliation of outstanding balances
• Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals
• Track and value inventory (raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods) specific furnishing products
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and variance analysis reports
• Support cost accounting functions including job costing for custom furniture projects and margin analysis
• Process payroll and related tax filings in compliance with local regulations
• Assist with annual audits and tax preparation by providing necessary documentation and schedules
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Collaborate with operations team to analyze product profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Utilize accounting software (Zoho Books) to streamline financial processes
• Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, retail, or furnishings/furniture industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
