Job Description
- 1. Customer Interaction & Service IntakeGreet customers and understand their vehicle concerns or service needs.
- Ask probing questions to accurately capture symptoms or issues.
- Perform initial walk-around inspections with customers to identify visible issues.
- Record customer information, vehicle details, and concerns in service systems.
- 2. Repair Order PreparationTranslate customer-reported issues into clear, concise repair orders for technicians.
- Prioritize work based on urgency, safety concerns, and customer preferences.
- Verify warranty status, service contracts, or recalls if applicable.
- 3. Communication & CoordinationCommunicate customer concerns clearly to technicians.
- Coordinate with workshop controllers, parts departments, and technicians for smooth workflow.
- Follow up with technicians to get updates on diagnostics and repair progress.
- 4. Customer Updates & ApprovalsContact customers with estimates for repairs, including parts and labor costs.
- Explain recommended services, urgency levels, and alternatives.
- Obtain customer approval for repairs before proceeding.
- Notify customers of delays, additional issues, or changes in cost/timeline.
- 5. Service Recommendations & UpsellingProvide preventive maintenance recommendations based on:
- Manufacturer schedules
- Vehicle condition
- Customer driving habits
- Promote value-added services (wheel alignment, fluid flushes, etc.) ethically and transparently.
