Job Summary:

The Bending Machine Operator is responsible for operating and setting up press brake or bending machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components according to technical drawings and production requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate press brake / sheet metal bending machines to bend and form metal parts as per drawings.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Set up machine parameters such as bending angle, pressure, and tooling.
• Select and install the correct punches and dies for the required bending operation.
• Check dimensions using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, gauges, and measuring tapes.
• Ensure finished parts meet quality standards and tolerances.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Follow safety procedures and shop floor guidelines.
• Coordinate with production supervisors and quality inspectors.
• Maintain proper production records and reports.
