CNC & VMC Operator Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC & VMC Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines to produce precision parts and instruments.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC and VMC machines to perform specific machining operations (e.g., milling, turning, drilling)2
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or work instructions to determine machining sequence, dimensions, and tooling requirements
• Select and install appropriate tools and attachments according to job specifications
• Monitor the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure the workpiece is machined in accordance with specifications
• Inspect finished workpieces for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
• Identify and resolve machine malfunctions or production errors
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Maintain records of machine operation and production, documenting problems and actions taken
